Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United training, providing the club with a significant boost ahead of the second tournament of their European League quarter-final against Sevilla on Thursday.

The England international, who has 28 goals this season, sustained a groin strain in a 2-0 win against Everton on April 8.

Rashford was expected to miss a "few games" for United last week, but he might make a timely return in Spain, where Erik ten Hag's side is chasing a triple of cup competitions.

The tie is tied at 2-2 after United conceded two late own goals in the first leg at Old Trafford.

Luke Shaw and Marcel Sabitzer also worked out on Wednesday to help relieve the Red Devils' injury woes.

First-team centre-backs Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are out due to injuries sustained in the first match.

Bruno Fernandes is suspended, and Donny van de Beek and Alejandro Garnacho are injured.

United, who won the League Cup earlier this season to end a six-year trophy drought, will face Brighton in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday.
