Sevilla, the six-time champions, have successfully secured their spot in the Europa League final for the seventh time. In an exhilarating second leg of the semi-finals, they triumphed over Juventus in extra time.

Juventus initially took the lead through Dusan Vlahovic, but Sevilla quickly responded as Suso equalized the tie with a magnificent left-footed strike.

The deciding goal arrived five minutes into extra time when Bryan Gil delivered a cross that Erik Lamela headed home.

Despite Sevilla defender Marcos Acuna receiving a late red card, the home team managed to hold on, ensuring their place in the final. They will now face Roma in the ultimate showdown.

After a relatively calm start, the match sprung to life in the middle of the first half, with both goalkeepers being called into action.

Sevilla's Yassine Bounou made a crucial save to deny Federico Gatti's header, while Wojciech Szczesny impressively kept out Lucas Ocampos' diving header at the other end.

Bounou then made a slight touch to divert Moise Kean's goal-bound effort onto the far post after the Juventus striker executed a smart turn in the box. The first half concluded with Sevilla feeling aggrieved as they were not awarded a penalty when Juan Cuadrado made a flying challenge on Oliver Torres.

The second half continued to provide opportunities, with Juventus coming close twice. Adrien Rabiot shot wide after breaking clear, and Bremer narrowly missed the target with a header from Leandro Paredes' cross.

Juventus took the lead in the 65th minute when Dusan Vlahovic smoothly evaded a defender and cleverly finished with a chip just 58 seconds after coming on as a substitute.

Sevilla responded swiftly, equalizing six minutes later through their own substitute. Suso received a pass from Lamela, evaded his marker, and unleashed a powerful shot into the corner from 20 yards.

In the final minutes of regular time, the hosts nearly secured victory, but Szczesny leaped to tip Youssef En-Nesyri's header over the crossbar. However, Szczesny couldn't prevent Lamela's decisive goal in extra time.

As Juventus pushed for a goal to force a penalty shootout, they had their best opportunity in extra time, but Federico Chiesa fired his shot over the bar.

Sevilla's Marcos Acuna received a second yellow card for time-wasting with five minutes remaining, but Jose Luis Mendilibar's team remained resolute, ensuring their remarkable journey in this competition continues. They will now travel to Budapest on May 31 for the final.
