Romelu Lukaku departed Stamford Bridge after expressing his desire for a new challenge, and Chelsea is open to engaging in discussions for a permanent transfer of the player.

Chelsea has decided that £40 million will be adequate, and a couple of clubs are interested. “Chelsea want £40 million for Romelu Lukaku after rejecting Inter’s latest bid for the striker,” the Daily Mail reports.

“Juventus and Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have also expressed interest, but Lukaku is set on returning to Inter, where he was on loan last season.
“Inter met with Lukaku’s lawyer last week, but their £23 million offer failed to persuade Chelsea, who want to recoup a larger portion of the £97.5 million they paid for the Belgian in 2021.”
