According to the Telegraph, Manchester United is set to secure the signing of Andre Onana now that David de Gea's departure has been officially confirmed.

With De Gea's exit from the team now official, United is hoping to sign Onana as a potential goalkeeper replacement. Onana might soon be sporting a Manchester United jersey, according to The Telegraph, which emphasized the potential of this deal.

"David de Gea has announced his departure from Manchester United this summer after 12 years at Old Trafford," wrote Telegraph

"Onana was Ten Hag's goalkeeper when the Dutch reached the Champions League semi-finals before moving to Inter, where he reached the Champions League final last season."

Despite the willingness of all sides to cooperate, the Italian club wants £51.5 million for their goalkeeper, and the agreement is still in its early stages.

"United are yet to make a formal offer but have verbally discussed the deal with Inter, with personal terms also yet to be discussed with the player. Ten Hag's pre-season matches start on July 12 against Leeds and his squad will fly to America for a tour later this month."

The Cameroonian goalkeeper's arrival would mark a significant change for the club, as they prepare for the upcoming season with a new face between the posts.
