Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce's hopes of a sixth women's world 100m gold were dashed as American Sha'Carri Richardson raced to victory in Budapest on Monday.
Despite being in lane nine, Richardson surged to a championship record of 10.65 seconds to complete a US 100m double after Noah Lyles won the men's event on Sunday.
On the third day of competition in Budapest, Shericka Jackson and veteran Jamaican teammate Fraser-Pryce claimed silver and bronze in 10.72sec and 10.77sec, respectively.

It was an incredible run for the 23-year-old Richardson, who was forbidden from competing in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 due to the epidemic.
Her chances of competing for a medal at last year's world championships in Eugene were dashed when she failed to qualify in the US trials.

The incumbent champion, Fraser-Pryce, said she was "really grateful" for the bronze medal following a difficult season hindered by a knee ailment.

Grant Holloway became the second athlete after compatriot Greg Foster to win three successive world 110m hurdles gold on a successful night for the USA on the track.
Holloway, 25, won gold with a season-best time of 12.96 seconds, beating off Jamaica's Olympic champion Hansle Parchment, who finished in 13.07 seconds.
