According to reports on Friday, Liverpool has turned down a staggering £150 million ($190 million) offer for Mohamed Salah from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

For some weeks, the Gulf State has been linked to Egyptian sensation Salah, and it is thought that Al-Ittihad made a verbal offer to Liverpool on Friday.

According to estimates, the bid was for £100 million upfront plus an additional £50 million in add-ons.

The Premier League club is adamant about keeping Salah and intends to reject any offers, regardless of the amount offered.

Salah, who switched to Liverpool from Roma in Italy in 2017, recently agreed to a new three-year deal.

During the off-season, his agency had openly disclaimed that he would move to Saudi Arabia, as several Premier League players had chosen to take rich offers from the Gulf State.

In August, Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah's agent, stated that "Mohamed remains committed to Liverpool."

"If we considered leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract last summer."

In 221 games over six seasons at Anfield, the 31-year-old has 138 goals and has three times taken home the Premier League Golden Boot.

Even if Liverpool had thought about life without Salah, they would have had little time to find a replacement because the bid came close to Friday's 2200 GMT transfer deadline.

When asked about Mohamed Salah's future on Friday, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp responded, "The stance stays the same, without a doubt. There's no denying that.

"We are unable to sell Salah. It is as it is. Nothing further to add.
