After their match against KCB, Gor Mahia head coach Jonathan Mckinstry criticized the Kenyan Premier League's (KPL) defensive teams.

KCB's performance was criticized by the K'Ogalo manager after they were held to a 1-1 draw on Sunday at the Nyayo Stadium.

Before Rogers Mugisha scored the equalizer for K'Ogalo, Apollo Otieno had scored for the Bankers, keeping the league's defending champions undefeated.

"I don't remember KCB troubling our goalkeeper, maybe Kevin made one other save other than the goal they scored. It's a wonderful goal but it comes off a mistake from us. Geoffrey doesn't need to be told you can't put the ball there and then we don't close it down. The goalkeeper couldn't really do anything about it and then they went into a low-block." Mckinstry said in his post-match interview.

After five rounds of games, Mckinstry's team scored a point to maintain second place in the KPL standings with nine points, four points behind leaders Posta Rangers. He blasted the Bankers for wasting time.

We're sad to have received just one point. Even after the score was tied at one, time was still wasted, as I believe you saw with our opponents today. I believe they were really happy with the point. I'm not sure what their coach said, but on the field, they appeared to be saying, "Let's keep this point." He spoke.

Bernard Mwalala, the head coach of KCB, had a different perspective on how his team went into the game.

"We played some good football today but football is a game of chances and we did not take our chances. I think if you look at today's game we created more chances and we counter-attacked well."
