On Friday, October 6, 2023, Safaricom PLC has announced the closure of all its stores in Nairobi. The company clarified in a message on Wednesday that only their outlets at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will remain open on Friday.

The mobile service provider stated that the closures are to “enable us to carry out some internal process.”
