Kenya is currently hosting the African Development Bank annual meeting, which has brought together various delegates, including heads of state.

The AfDB annual general meeting, held at the KICC, started on May 27 and will conclude on May 31.

This year's theme is “Africa’s Transformation: the African Development Bank, and the Reform of the Global Financial Architecture.”

The theme reflects the understanding that, despite sustained economic growth over the past two decades, Africa's economic transformation remains a work in progress with much more to be accomplished.

President William Ruto joined other heads of state on Wednesday in a high-level presidential dialogue to discuss the slow pace of transformation in Africa, identifying the key challenges and opportunities.
