CFAO Motors Kenya has partnered with Metal Equipment Co. Ltd, which will be the authorised conversion partner for the new improved Safari Landcruiser 79.

Due to Metal Equipment Co. Ltd.'s compliance with international conversion requirements, a locally modified Safari Landcruiser 79 will be provided with a guarantee from the manufacturer of the original vehicle.

This is because the body is lighter in design while the vehicle's frame has remained unchanged.

CFAO Motors Deputy Managing Director Joshua Anya noted that the partnership will offer high-quality converted vehicles to the safari market segment.

“This partnership is in line with our commitment to improving the quality and reducing the cost of ownership of our vehicles to our customers,” he added.

The body cage was made and fitted with fibreglass by the experts at CFAO Motors and Metal Equipment Co. Ltd, which helped to reduce the gross weight by roughly 800 kg.

According to tests, the upgraded Safari Landcruiser 79 can save up to 47% more fuel than the standard Safari Landcruiser 79 now on the market. Moreover, the suspension and brake pads will endure far less wear and tear.

“We share the same values of quality, safety, and reliability with CFAO Motors and look forward to maintaining this trend throughout the partnership,” Metal Equipment Co. Ltd Director Dhanraj Matharu said.

The new improved Safari Landcruiser 79 has a lower total cost of ownership, better payload, and a roomy interior.
