Protesters in the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition's anti-government protests barricaded significant roads in Migori town on Thursday morning, paralyzing transportation.

The youth piled rocks across the roads and sat on them, making them impassable for vehicles and motorcycle taxi drivers.

Many businesses were still closed as of 8:30 a.m.

Protests against the government over the high cost of living and other issues Azimio leader Raila has with President William Ruto's administration were held for the third time on Thursday.

Similar protests were held on Monday and last week. While the police declared them illegal, Odinga maintains they are constitutional and will continue until the government responds to the opposition's demands.
