Safaricom has added 5G networks to Turkana, Trans Nzoia, and Narok Counties, allowing customers to enjoy fast internet services.
So far, Safaricom has connected 23 counties with ultra-fast internet services.
It has also added 150 5G active sites, pushing the total number to 368 countrywide.
“We also have 3 new counties covered – Turkana, Trans Nzoia & Narok now with 5G coverage, bringing to a total of 23/47 counties with 5G coverage,” Safaricom said in a statement.
Faster than a 4G network, clients can download, stream, and play videos at neck-breaking speeds.
Last year, The telecommunication company became Kenya's first service provider to launch 5G.
Some devolved units with 5G networks include Nairobi, Kiambu, Mombasa, Kisumu, Uasin Gishu, Nakuru, Garissa, and Kajiado.
Others are Kisii Machakos, Kakamega, Kilifi, Siaya, Kericho, Kwale, Laikipia, Marsabit, Meru, Narok, Nyeri, and Vihiga Counties.
