Pwani Oil has diversified into home and personal care products by making solutions for dishwashers, floor pastes, fabric softeners, milking jelly, and hand and body wash to meet growing demand.
The edible oil and detergent manufacturing company will also make shampoos, conditioners, and body lotions, among others.
Pwani Oil Commercial Director Rajul Malde noted that the company is diversifying its product offerings and demonstrating its commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation.
“We are excited to bring these high-quality, environmentally friendly products to Kenyan households and contribute to a greener future.”
Further, it has opened an ultra-manufacturing facility that will be used to make the products in Kikambala.
The excellent production capacity of the liquid detergent facility makes it possible to produce daily 40 tonnes of floor cleaners, dishwashing paste, and dishwashing liquid.
Additionally, it will create 12 tonnes per day of personal care items, such as various soaps, petroleum jelly, lotions, and creams.
In addition, the business has solar power plants built in its building, producing 1.2 megawatts of solar power and 1.4 megawatts of steam turbine-generated power.
