Bamburi Cement PLC has appointed Claudia Albertini and Joyce Munene as the new Non-executive Director and Company secretary, respectively.

Alberti is the Chief Financial Officer for the Asia, Middle East, and Africa Region of Holcim Group. She is an Italian national with over 26 years of expertise in finance and accounting.
Over the past 23 years, she has held a variety of top roles at Holcim, including Head of Business Services & Corporate Projects, CEO and CFO of Holcim Belgium, Lead Regional Controller Europe (excl UK), Regional Controller UK, Spain, and Trading and Affiliates, among others.
She received her European Baccalaureate from the European School of Varese in Varese, Italy, and a Master's Degree in Economics and Commerce from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy.
Munene is an independent corporate governance consultant and a governance, legal, and compliance professional with extensive experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and financial services industries.
She previously held the positions of Legal Officer at United Insurance Company, Senior Legal Manager & Company Secretary at East African Breweries Limited, and Legal Services Manager & Assistant Group Company Secretary at Equity Bank Group.
She has an MBA in strategic management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology, an LLB from the University of Pune in India, and a diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law (KSL).
