Githunguri police in Kiambu County, are investigating an incident in which the body of a businessman from Kibichoi was found dumped around Kwa Maiko near the Barikongo coffee factory.
Speaking when he arrived at the family home on Tuesday, Alvin Nganga, the son of the deceased trader, John Kiriba Nganga, said, “I received a call from my mother just after I arrived at work informing me that something tragic had happened to my father.”
According to witnesses, they saw the body of the deceased lying along the road and notified the police from Kibichoi police station.
Preliminary investigations point to Kiriba being killed elsewhere, where his shoes and cap were found, and his body being dumped along the road.
The body has been taken to Kigumo Hospital Mortuary, awaiting an autopsy.
