The high court will rule on an Italian application to claim ownership of the disputed Kirima land on April 18.

The court will determine whether to grant temporary orders to protect the disputed Kirima land in Njiru while the application is being considered.

In the meantime, the parties were instructed by the court to file and serve their papers on Monday.

“Documents filed or served given timelines shall stand expunged, parties to avail hard copies of their documents via court registry,” Environment and Land Court Judge Lucy Mbugua directed.

Claims that the Italian family leased the land to the Kirimas have been refuted.

Bernado Vicezo De claims that they were taken aback by the ruling handed down on October 23 of last year because they were unaware of any sale or lease to the Kirimas.
