The death of a 46-year-old man whose body was discovered hanging in his bedroom at Pap Yamo village, West Alego location in Alego/Usonga sub-county, is under investigation by Siaya County police.

The man's body, identified as Pascal Okoth Akelo, was discovered by his family. 

Assistant Chief of Komenya sub-location Elizabeth Awino reported the incident to Mwer Police Patrol Base, according to Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo.

He said that when patrol base officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the deceased had used a leso inside his bedroom to hang himself.

 According to the head of county police, initial investigations have shown that the deceased tried to jump to his death from a three-story building in Nairobi last year. 

 Mr. Kimaiyo confirmed the afternoon incident and said the body was taken to the mortuary at Siaya County Referral Hospital to await a post-mortem after the scene was processed and recorded. 

 He claimed that since the man left no suicide note behind, the valid reason for his decision to end his life has not yet been determined.
