The officer, who had been admitted to the male ward, attacked the victims around midnight, leaving both seriously injured.
Hospital staff responded swiftly when they heard screams from the patients. Upon reaching the scene, they discovered the officer had already stabbed a 14-year-old boy in the neck and a 20-year-old in the chest. As the officer approached a third patient, the medical team raised an alarm, prompting additional staff and security guards to intervene. They managed to subdue the officer, who was still holding a knife.
