A Kenyan woman was caught at an Indian airport carrying 2.5 kg of cocaine worth around Ksh.380 million.

To mislead the authorities, the Kenyan traveller landed via Addis Abeba with the medicines cleverly packed in three whisky bottles in dissolved form.

On the basis of profiling, AirCustoms@IGIA has seized 2 whiskey bottles having dissolved Cocaine from a Kenyan pax arrived fm Addis Ababa. The Black Label markings on the bottles indicate the cocaine in liquid, brownish form before the New Delhi Airport Customs authorities condensed it. According to Delhi Customs on Twitter, the woman was arrested under India's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Five days earlier, the same Delhi Customs tweeted that a Kenyan woman had been apprehended similarly transporting a similar substance - disguised in two Black Label bottles.

The woman landed in India via Addis Ababa as well. Her cocaine was estimated to be worth Ksh.130 million.
