Kenyan Singer-Songwriter Michael Mugo of 'Just Imagine Africa,' Best Known For His Song "Bangi," Has Died.

Mugo, the lead vocalist, songwriter, and rhythm guitarist for the Kenyan band 'Just Imagine Africa,' was well known for his controversial party hymn Bangi, in which he publicly discussed marijuana use.

The other members are Brian Joseph, Daniel Mbithi, Wambui Ng'ang'a, Arlon Mwangi, Joel Djowa, Dominic Juma, and Marlon Aduvaga.

According to the musician, marijuana helped him cope with day-to-day challenges, a message that connected with most fans, resulting in over 800,000+ views on YouTube for the song's music video.

The song 'Bangi' was the first to be released in the famous music market, celebrating marijuana.

Nataka, Madem wa Kenya, Touch My Soul, purify our souls, Mumbi, and Like Heaven are some of the band's other songs.

Suicide has been ruled out as a cause of death.
