Following a prosperous New Year's Eve concert, Tanzanian gospel singer Christina Shusho was given a Kenyan name by media personality and comedian Churchill Ndambuki.

Following demands from Kenyans that she come for a crossover concert, Shusho performed on Sunday, December 31.

The event proved to be a triumph, as Shusho's admirers flocked to witness her remarkable performance. The Tanzanian singer did not disappoint her admirers when she elegantly made her way onto the stage and ended the event.

The songstress has revealed that Churchill gave her the name Mwende.



"Christina Shusho "Mwende" ( my Kenyan name given to me by @MwalimChurchill," she wrote.

The Kamba name Mwende denotes a spirit of pioneering. According to an explanation on the Myfirstnamerockls website, Mwende people are always naturally focused, goal-oriented, and born leaders.

When Christiana promoted her new song "Rebecca" with Mercy Masika, she disclosed her given name, Kenyan.
