In the video, Jackie Matubia earnestly appealed to the public for contributions to support Charles Ouda's  burial expenses, emphasizing their collective desire to provide him with a dignified farewell that aligns with his impactful legacy.

The actress was among the final individuals to witness the actor before his passing. Esteemed actress and digital content creator, Jackie Matubia, posted a poignant video commemorating her late colleague and friend, Charles Ouda, who sadly departed four days ago.

"What's up amazing people of Instagram... what's up my loves? I'm just here to let you... just to... uhm I just wanted to share something I've discovered.

Sorry my mind is all over the place," emotionally started the mother of 2 as her voice threatened to break.

After catching a breath and composing herself, the thespian added;

"Something I have discovered is you don't understand... like you haven't experienced pain until you lose someone so close and so dear to you. Someone you were with... you know, like one minute you were with them then the next minute they are gone,"

Jackie, visibly emotional and fighting back tears, urged her fans and followers to come together and assist the family in giving Charlie a respectful and honorable farewell.

"Charlie is a legend and we want to give Charlie an amazing, amazing send off and we are really trying our best. We want to give Charlie a sendoff worth of a legend, we want you guys to help us out to be able to accomplish this.

We would... we are requesting you guys to help us. Just help us give him an amazing send-off like the amazing guy and amazing actor that he is. I know his passing has affected most of you, even those at home who didn't know him because he made your days, he graced your screens, he made your childhoods and it's hard," Matubia said choking back tears as she fidgeted with her fingers.

She proceeded to post a fundraiser poster for Charlie, which had been shared on Instagram by Charlie's fiancée, Ciru Muriuki, along with a few other close friends like Foi Wambui and Abel Mutua.

Matubia's page has been flooded with condolences from fans, who have been sending heartfelt messages of love, strength, and hope during this difficult time.

Some have shared how concerned they are considering Jackie still keeps on referring to Charlie in the present tense.

In the video, she keeps on saying "is" instead of "was". However, most note that grief is a process and people should be kinder to her and others mourning during this trying time.

Homicide investigators have taken charge of the investigation into the sudden passing of actor Charles Ouda. The circumstances surrounding Charlie's death led to the involvement of the homicide team, especially considering that the actor, renowned for his roles in popular shows like Makutano Junction, Junction Junior, Second Family, and Salem, seemed in good health on the last day he was seen alive.

A squad from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters conducted an on-site visit to the location of his passing in Westlands, Nairobi, on Monday, as part of the ongoing inquiry into the incident.

While the cause of death remains undisclosed, insiders indicate that potential suicide is one of the factors being investigated.
