Media personality and content creator Jacky Vike, affectionately known as Awinja, took a moment to reflect on the passing of the beloved actor Papa Shirandula. In a heartfelt tribute, she penned down her thoughts, commemorating three years since his final resting day. The tribute serves as a poignant reminder of the impact Papa Shirandula had on the entertainment industry and the lasting memories he left behind.
"Three years ago today, we buried our father, Papa Shirandula. Still one of the darkest day of my life, but I celebrate him even in his absence. He discovered so many of us, I am grateful. Keep resting , your legacy lives on," she captioned. Charles Bukeko was an actor and comedian known for his show Papa Shirandula, which he created and it won him an award.

Awinja, a former Papa Shirandula performer rose to fame for her part in the show as a housekeeper. She took on the character of a kienyeji girl. She recalled growing up in poverty in Eastleigh and losing her father when she was a small child.
Narrating about how he secured the acting role at Papa Shiradula's show, he had this to say. "I went for an audition and it happened that Charles was part of the panel. After the third audition, I passed but then I don’t know what happened to the project."
