After receiving criticism from fans for giving up her music career and moving to the US to assist Rotimi, former Tanzanian musician Vanessa Mdee was obliged to defend her connection with Rotimi.
This comes after a follower expressed sympathy for the mother of two in a comment on her posts, saying that Vanessa had sacrificed her career for a man who didn't even respect her enough to marry her. The fan added that Vanessa is there for a man who doesn't mind cheating on her.
Vanessa said that she has no issue standing by her man and doing it with joy. She said, "I don't regret standing up for what I believe in."
"Girl the fact that you quit your career to be this dudes hype man and he won't even marry you is heartbreaking for real. I hope you find your way back to what you love... you completely gave yourself up for him," said the fan.
