Police officers have arrested a 34-year-old man in Kakamega after he went on a stabbing spree.
The man is accused of stabbing several people, including Nyumba Kumi's in-charge in Shieywe, Kakamega.
One of the victims, Reuben Otiende, told police he went to settle a quarrel between the suspect, John Nyikuli, and his father, Pascal Lumumba, when he was attacked in the head with a knife.

"Kijana alikuwa amezozana na baba, so anafukuza baba na kisu," Otiende said in an interview with Citizen Digital. "Nikaaambia kijana chukua kisu rudisha kwa nyumba, kama kuna shida, tutakuja na tutaita chief ndio tutatue."
The suspect then turned on him, as well as several other people who had responded to the brawl, stabbing them.
Mr. Lumumba, the suspect's father, requested that the police ensure he does not return home since he has become a menace to his family and neighbors.
