In Bondo sub-county, Siaya County, the body of a forty-year-old man who is believed to have committed suicide was discovered hanging in the home of a woman he had inherited.
Michael Odongo, the deceased, was discovered inside Benta Akoth's home, which he had inherited following her husband's death a few years prior.
Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo stated that Assistant Chief Joshua Owuor of the Uyawi sub-location reported the issue and notified the police.
He said that when Bondo police station officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Odongo's body hanging there with a rope securely fastened around his neck.

Kimaiyo said that since no evidence was left behind, the reason for the alleged suicide is still unknown.
As more inquiries are conducted, Odongo's body has been transferred to the mortuary of Bondo Sub-County Hospital, where it is awaiting an autopsy.
