Police officers have arrested three people in Kajiado with sacks of bhang.
The suspects identified as George Laban Ogutu Ogangira, Yahya Abdullahi Songolo, and Sharon Wanjira Mburu were apprehended in a sting operation last week.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that the three were apprehended along Ongata Rongai Road near Multimedia University with various narcotic drug bundles.

According to the DCI, during a subsequent investigation, two more bales were discovered at one of the suspects' homes in Joska, Machakos County.

Three narcotics traffickers are scheduled to plead guilty on Thursday, March 7, 2024, after being intercepted and arrested last week in a sting operation by anti-narcotics officers.
"George Laban Ogutu Ogangira, Yahya Abdullahi Songolo, and Sharon Wanjira Mburu were arrested along Ongata Rongai Road near Multimedia University when the motor vehicle they were driving, a KAV 298H Toyota Corolla, was intercepted by the team, which was assisted by the Operations Support Unit," DCI said.
“Search conducted in the vehicle saw four bales of bhang stashed on two sacks recovered, and another two bales discovered at Laban's Joska home when the investigations were extended there.”
