A woman has been arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by Anti-narcotics investigators after being found in possession of cocaine hidden in her underwear.
Apoko Damaris Adhiambo, 32, had the pellets hidden in her pants when she was stopped at JKIA's terminal A1 central screening area shortly before boarding a flight to Madagascar.
"A body scanner at the checkpoint detected suspicious goods hidden around her privates, prompting a rapid search that yielded 600g of the highly addictive cocaine. According to a statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), a spot test on the finding revealed the presence of cocaine.
