Police officers have arrested a 73-year-old man on allegations of murdering his 46-year-old lover by beating her to death in Thunguma village.
The accused will spend a month in King'ong'o jail before entering his plea. he is also expected to get a mental health evaluation before trial, according to the prosecution.
His lawyer, Muchiri Wagathoni, urged the court to release the accused on bail because no one knew when the strike would finish.
