A 32-year-old bodaboda rider has been killed and his wife raped by a group of robbers who made away with his motorbike and two mobile phones in Got Rateng's community, Lambwe East, Homa Bay County.
The criminals reportedly stormed Jacob Osore's home at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, attacking him with a panga, knocking him unconscious before abusing his wife.
According to Lambwe East Chief Benard Ouma, the thugs were heard demanding money that Osore had obtained from a fundraiser held a few weeks ago to assist him in purchasing another motorbike after his previous one was stolen in a prior robbery event.

Osoro was transported to Homa Bay County Referral Hospital, where he died from his injuries. His wife is recovering from her injuries at the hospital.
The deceased's body is in the Homa Bay County Referral Hospital mortuary.
Meanwhile, Mbita Sub-county Police Commander Solomon Barngetuny has confirmed that his men are already on the spot.
