Angry villagers descended on a young man accused of murdering his mother during an argument over Ksh 500 in Omogwa village, Kemera area, Nyamira County.
Wesley Ondieki stabbed his mother to death because she refused to give him money from mourners who had come to express their condolences following his father's death.
Ondieki is also accused of beating his sister and seriously injuring her before fleeing.

He was ultimately captured by angry locals, who beat him to death and lynched his body.
The mother's body was carried to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, while the son's burnt remains are at the Tombe Hospital mortuary.
