Police officers have arrested six people suspected of being part of a gang terrorizing residents of Suna East, Migori County.
Evans Achola, the area leader, stated that the gang has been committing various crimes in the area.
The arrests come after people urged authorities to apprehend individuals responsible for a spate of attacks. According to preliminary reports, the individuals are suspected to be members of a group known as 42 brothers.
"Two days ago two people, among them a teacher from a local school, were attacked in Uriri," Achola stated.

The two were part of a gang searching for suspected livestock rustlers. Police also stated that a crackdown on persons associated with illicit activity in the region is continuing.
