A 32-year-old man is in police custody after allegedly killing his wife after a domestic dispute in Eland Estate in Kericho town.

The suspect, identified as Cyrus Onkeo, allegedly murdered his 30-year-old wife, Fridah Nyaboke, after a heated argument between the couple.

According to the police report, the altercation escalated when Onkeo allegedly strangled Nyaboke and pushed her onto the bed. The following morning, Onkeo noticed that his wife had not woken up but assumed she was still upset from the previous night’s argument.

After several unsuccessful attempts to wake her, Onkeo realized Nyaboke was unresponsive and had passed away. He immediately surrendered to authorities at the Kericho Police Station, reporting the tragic event.

Responding officers found the deceased lying on the bed with no visible injuries, though blood was noted coming from her mouth. The body was transferred to the Kericho County Referral Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is set to be conducted.
