Preliminary reports indicate that Okoth was last seen transporting two passengers from Migori town towards Nyabisawa before he was found dead.

The assailants abandoned his motorcycle about 400 meters away from where his body was found. Interestingly, the killers did not take Okoth's mobile phone or his bike, leaving the motive behind the murder unclear.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Migori Level IV Hospital mortuary as police continue their investigation into this tragic incident.
