Locals in Kamuu village in Yatta, Machakos County, assaulted and burned a man to death on Wednesday morning for stealing metallic fence posts.
Locals allege he has been stealing the posts for some time and selling them for scrap metal.
When the man was supposedly found stealing, outraged townspeople thrashed him. Officers from Matuu Police Station took the body away.
