On Friday, police officer Ahmed Rashid will enter a plea after High Court Judge Kanyi Kimondo rejected his request to halt the plea-taking process until a filed matter is heard and decided.
Rashid had maintained that he had been a police officer for almost 22 years, that he is a law-abiding officer, and that he has never improperly used a weapon.
He said before the court that he had learned of the situation via social media and has yet to receive a summons from the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA).
The two slain in the 2016 event were "regarding the occurrence in the issue of 2016, they were dangerous and had attacked police officers," the court heard.

IPOA, which conducted independent investigations after reviewing the case, made the murder accusation against the allegedly murderous cop a recommendation.
The court rejected Rashid's motion notice since it could not infringe upon the independence of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
In link with the shooting deaths of two alleged thugs in Eastleigh on As of March 31, 2017, Sergeant Rashid is facing murder charges.
Since then, the 24,000-strong Eastleigh business community has petitioned the ODPP to drop the charges against officer Rashid because they claim he acted legally.
