Police from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations' Murder division have started looking into the unsolved homicide of interior designer Geoffrey Mwathi, 23, who passed away in the home of Kikuyu entertainer Lawrence Njuguna, well known as DJ Fatxo.
It occurred because Interior CS Professor Kithure Kindiki asked the DCI to look into the situation and determine what happened in response to allegations of collaboration that put investigations in danger.
Sixteen days after the incident, the DCI takes over the Kasarani police station's investigation.
Only moments after Interior CS Kindiki instructed DCI leader Mohamed Amin to launch in-depth investigations into Geoffrey's odd death, homicide and forensic detectives from the DCI team, we arrived at the location in the Roysambu neighbourhood Kasarani to begin "fresh" investigations.

The detectives' initial objective was to replicate the scenario at the 12-story rental apartment where jeff fell on the 22nd of last month.
After falling from a house that Lawrence Njuguna, better known by his stage as DJ Fatxo, had rented on the 10th floor, Geoffrey Mwathi perished.
It is still unknown precisely where the late Mwathi fell, although surveillance cameras only show him leaving the singer's apartment on the ground floor.
Detectives were trying to determine on Friday if Mwathi fell from the window or the rooftop because it seems complicated for someone to squeeze into the window frame.
Jeff arrived at DJ Faxto's house after spending the evening having fun with the well-known Mugithi singer with his cousin and driver.
Per the reports, Jeff met with the artist for an interior design project hours before and said he would receive a deposit and start working that morning.
