Detectives have successfully located and secured the motorcycle that the suspects used to make their escape from the crime scene following the shooting of the detective. The motorcycle was discovered abandoned in a nearby residential area and has been sent for forensic analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.

Additionally, the police have made a significant breakthrough in the case by apprehending the primary suspect, identified as Mokaya, believed to be responsible for the detective's killing. This apprehension followed a dramatic shootout with the police in Kayole on Tuesday morning. Mokaya had been evading capture since the incident and had been constantly changing his hiding locations. The police had been diligently tracking his movements through the use of CCTV footage and intelligence reports.

The detective was gunned down on Sunday night while he was operating his car along Kangundo Road. He was a member of the Director of Criminal Investigations headquarters. When the suspects rode up on a motorcycle and started firing at him, he had stopped his car after it supposedly broke down and was waiting for help.

The investigator was wounded in the leg, but his wife, who was riding in the car with him, survived. The authorities are still looking for additional clues as they try to solve the riddle of the cold-blooded murder because the motivation for the killing is still unknown.
