The 16-year-old accused of murdering Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo will be detained for 21 days to allow detectives to conduct their investigations.
The teen girl was apprehended on Tuesday in Nairobi County's Kibra region. According to a miscellaneous application, the teen is suspected of orchestrating the violence that left Maigo dead on September 15th.

According to the investigative officer, important witnesses have yet to record testimonies and submit DNA samples for processing at the government laboratory.
"……the investigating officer is yet to ascertain injuries inflicted when escaping from scene of crime, forwarding case file to the ODPP for perusal and advise and not limited to the respondents production before a court of law for further directions," the application reads.

The child, who authorities said was on the run, was apprehended Tuesday night at the Olympic Village in Kibra.
She was interrogated and detained at Muthaiga police station by the DCI.
