The enduring popularity of Bad Boys: Ride or Die among film enthusiasts can be attributed to the reunion of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in the action-comedy series of the same name. According to a new report, the Bad Boys made a lot of money on their most recent sequel.

According to Screen Rant, Smith's pay for his work on the most recent Bad Boys movie is franchise-high for Ride or Die. According to reports, Smith earned $25 million for his role—$5 million more than his previous peak payment from Bad Boys 2. Lawrence, meanwhile, is expected to earn between $6 million and $15 million from the film. That amount falls short of the $20 million Smith earned for the second Bad Boys film, his franchise-high salary.

Thanks to the resounding success of Ride or Die, Smith and Lawrence have solidified their positions as franchise mainstays since the first Bad Boys movie hit the screens in 1995. The franchise has recently crossed the monumental $1 billion box office mark. In a stunning display of its enduring popularity, the most recent sequel has raked in over $ 215 million worldwide in less than two weeks after its theatrical debut, setting the stage for it to potentially surpass Life's franchise-best $426 million worldwide haul.

Detective Lieutenants Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, two of Smith and Lawrence's Miami Police Department officers, return in Ride or Die to take on new foes from their department. When they learn that their late chief, Captain Howard (Joe Pantoliano), was set up to die by law enforcement and framed to make it seem he had direct business dealings with drug cartels, the two take on corrupt police officers.

With the assistance of Mike's alienated criminal son, Armando Aretas (Jacob Scipio), they immediately act to clear Captain Howard's name and preserve their reputations.

With a commendable 65% critical rating and a franchise-best 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, the most recent Bad Boys sequel has garnered positive reviews from its advance domestic screenings. The film, featuring Paola Núñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Dennis MacDonald, Alexander Ludwig, Vanessa Hudges, Tasha Smith, and Tiffany Haddish, has been a hit among both critics and fans.

Smith and Lawrence, at the ages of 55 and 59, have hinted at the possibility of one more sequel before bidding farewell to their Bad Boys career. Jerry Bruckheimer, the franchise producer, has confirmed that preliminary discussions about a potential Bad Boys 5 film have taken place, although no concrete plans have been set in stone.
