Police officers have arrested two women for allegedly throwing a fetus by the roadside in Konoin, Bomet County.
Chemalal Sub-location Assistant Chief Samuel Kirui verified the event, stating that the fetus may have been left on the road in the early hours of Monday.
“The foetus was discovered by passers-by who immediately informed the authorities,” said Kirui.

The primary suspect was apprehended by police at the Kimulot station. She was transferred to Chebangang Health Centre for a medical examination and assessment.
A second suspect, also a woman, was detained in connection with the incident, and investigators believe she may have hosted the primary suspect.
The two women were taken to the Kimulot Police Station for interrogation and further investigation.
