"The embassy has not reported any casualties involving Kenyans living in Israel so far." "All of our people have been found," Njogu added.

PS Ms Njogu states that at least 500 Kenyans are legally registered to live in Israel. She is concerned that there may be more unregistered citizens in the country.

“Government agencies, together with the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, are monitoring the situation and keeping in touch with the team at the embassy (in Tel Aviv). We are working on plans for evacuation,” she said.

President William Ruto has condemned the violent assault on innocent citizens and called for de-escalating the war.

"We are deeply disturbed by the deliberate targeting of civilians in this conflict, which has resulted in an increasing number of casualties." As a result, we urge all parties to respect civilian rights and uphold their international legal commitments," Ruto said.
