John Mbadi says that President William Ruto's four-day tour to the Nyanza area was exclusively for the purpose of selling the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party rather than stimulating development.

According to Mbadi, the initiatives that President Ruto appeared to unveil were already in the works under the previous administration, and his visit to the region was simply political.

"I believe the President's visit was solely to promote the UDA agenda." It has nothing to do with growth. Let it be known that Ruto brought nothing fresh to Nyanza," Mbadi stated.

"All those things that he was claiming to launch had been launched during President Kibaki's time. What were are waiting for is for them to be completed so that they could be commissioned. Launching and commissioning are different. You cannot launch a project twice."

During a citizen TV show, the nominated MP questioned the completion of the Sindo-Magunga road in Suba South, Homa Bay County, stating that it had been delayed because the contractor had not been paid.

"One of the projects is in the constituency I represent. The so-called Sindo-Magunga meter road. It was started in September 2021. Ksh.316 million was released to the contractor to do 14 kilometres. He has done all the earthworks what is remaining is for the completion," he said.

"He's been demanding for payment so that he continues with the work. The contractor is not on sight even after the contractor left. Give this contractor money to complete the work and come commission the road. Don't come and play politics with our people."he added.
