Brian Mwenda, an alleged fake lawyer, was freed from custody by a Nairobi court after posting a Ksh. 200,000 cash bond.

The prosecution had not offered strong evidence to deny the accused bail, according to Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina, who granted bail.

Six counts of making and uttering fraudulent documents, along with a practicing certificate, were brought against Mwenda when she was arraigned last week.

Lukas Onyina, the Chief Magistrate of Nairobi, heard him enter a not-guilty plea to all the accusations.

The DCI officers identified Njagi as a phony advocate, and on October 18, they arrested him.

Next week, on November 7, the matter will be discussed.

Given that Mwenda would not appear in court if freed on bail, the prosecution had asked the judge to grant him bail.

Additionally, the court was informed that Mwenda had avoided the police for over four days and that his actions showed a complete disregard for the law.
