Twelve people were injured on Monday evening after a vehicle they had boarded from Bondo to Kisumu got a tire burst and swerved off the road before rolling along Bondo-Kisumu road.
Confirming the accident, Ajigo sub-location Assistant Chief Emily Awimbo stated that the injured are undergoing treatment at Bondo sub-county hospital and there were no fatalities.
Bondo sub-county hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr. Michael Oduor confirmed receiving 12 patients.
He stated that only two had severe injuries, while the remaining ten had slight injuries, which are being managed.
Dr. Oduor equally confirmed that there was no death as a result of that accident, adding that the other ten who got minor injuries were out of danger.
