Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has finally addressed the story behind the viral video of him slapping an MCA during a funeral service in Kakamega county.

In his response video, the Mumias East MP accused the current governor of Kakamega of being behind the attacks against him. he said that Governor Barasa pays the MCAs to provoke him. he accused them of attacking him on several occasions and even breaking the windscreen of his car.



Salasya says the MCA he slapped had provoked him on several occasions and that things escalated at the funeral when the MCA started threatening him, telling him to stop talking about the governor.

The MP accused the MCA of having a knife and wanted to attack him and was forced to defend himself. He asked Kenyans to stop criticizing him and find the root cause of the problem because he is very peaceful.

In a previous tweet on X, Salaysia had denied assaulting anyone and made fun of the situation only to make a U-turn and apologize for his actions, promising to be a good role model for his constituents.
