Former Kenya Tourism Federation Chairman Mohammed Hersi has offered Chief Government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor a fully-funded invitation to visit Salt Lick Safari Lodge in Tsavo.

Speaking on X, Mohammed Hersi graciously invited Oduor on Thursday, highlighting the good doctor's dedication to his pathology pursuits.

"This man is selfless He is not in this for the money. The late (Rita) Waeni's case has really traumatized him and he deserves a break with his better half. If you known to him he has a weekend at Salt Lick Safari Lodge to relax and unwind," he said.

Oduor on Thursday handled the autopsy of murdered Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology student Rita Waeni, whose severed head and dismembered body were found dumped in Kiambaa and Roysambu, respectively.

Addressing journalists after the procedure, Oduor noted that the autopsy indicated that the deceased died of strangulation before her killer brutally dismembered her.

"The head had been chopped off on the neck at the level of the C5 vertebrae. There was bruising on the scalp which to me looked like it was caused by a blunt object and then upon looking at the neck's structure we also saw fractures which are usually very important in homicide," said Dr. Oduor.

"The hyoid bone was fractured while the thyroid cartilage had some fractures and hemorrhage. From this I can conclude that what caused the death of the young lady was strangulation after which she was decapitated and the body dumped."
