After their son passed away on Thursday, a family in Soy, Kakamega, is in mourning.
The small child, a student at the nearby St. Monica Primary School, is said to have been crushed to death by a tractor carrying sugarcane.
Chief Bornventure Lugado of the Likuyani area attested to the occurrence.
He stated that: "The young boy was killed by the tractor while he was with other boys." The tractor's driver broke free and is now being sought after.

The local chief has instructed drivers to drive more cautiously to prevent accidents when delivering sugarcane.
The deceased's body was brought to the nearby Chebaywa morgue in Uasin Gishu county.
