The Indian Navy announced that it had rescued 19 crew members from a vessel hijacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia.
This is the third operation this week following a wave of attacks on ships in the region.
According to a navy statement, an Indian patrol boat encountered the FV Omari in the "early hours" of Friday and successfully "coerced the pirates for the safe release of the crew along with the vessel."
