World Athletics has appointed David Rudisha as the World Athletics ambassador for the World Indoor Championships set for March 1-3 in Glasgow, Scotland.
The World 800m record holder will return to Glasgow, where he bagged silver at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Speaking on his appointment, Rudisha stated that he is looking forward to going back to Glasgow for this major competition.
“Sport is what has made me who I am today and anything to do with sport, it makes me feel very happy. I am looking forward to meeting the fans and promoting the sport.”
It was also on the United Kingdom’s soil that Rudisha set the 800m world record of 1:40.91 during the 2012 Olympics held in London.
